A simple, classic French linen shirt dress style that offers great versatility. We love wearing this button through piece as a dress over the accompanying slip. The white dress has a white slip whereas the other colours have bright, contrasting slips as an added design feature. The linen for this piece is slightly sheer which makes it perfect to wear as a dress in warmer weather or as a shirt style over pants and jeans in cooler weather. The garment also comes with a waist belt to help cinch in the waist, it has side pockets and rolled, tacked cuffs on the short sleeves. This is one of the most versatile pieces in our collection.

Main 100% French Linen

Slip 95% ECOVERO™ Viscose / 5% Elastane

This garment has been crafted from 100% French Linen, a natural fibre from flax grown in the northern regions of France. Linen is a light, breathable fabric that is durable and strong. It wrinkles easily which is part of its appeal, it is easy to care for and becomes softer with age and wear.

Flax is a highly productive crop requiring minimal water, herbicides or pesticides to grow, making it a better environmental choice than many other natural fibres, such as conventionally grown cotton. Linen is a renewable and biodegradable fibre. The fabric used for the slip is a soft, comfortable jersey fabric. It contains a blend of LENZING™ ECOVERO™ Viscose fibres and elastane for a stretch finish.

This shirt dress has a relaxed fit with a straight cut body finishing at the low shin length. The key measurements are in the bust and we recommend you take your usual size unless you want to size down for a slightly neater fit. The accompanying jersey slip has good stretch and the waist tie helps to cinch in the waist. This garment can be easily taken up if needed. Linen will naturally soften with wear.
